I am a 78 year old who is post esophagectomy from August 2019 ( 8 months ago) for a T3 NO  adenocarcinoma . This surgery was urgent. I lost 60 lbs prior to surgery and was unable to eat or drink for 4 months.

My weight at my surgery was 185 lbs, Oct 178 lbs and now 8 months later 145.  I'm discouraged as I still have no appetite, often after eating I get cramps and sometimes dirrahea. I'm only able to eat very minimually.

Prior to surgery I was an active young 78 who enjoyed many hobbies, cars and pilot of warbird airplanes.   I feel by now I would be able to eat more and be getting my appetite back.

I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who has undergone similar situation and how they are feeling.  Thank you !
