Newly Diagnosed

I was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer on 2/21/20 and I was devasted. I am 50 years old and have a 9 year old daughter. My husband and I adopted her at birth and have raised a very strong young lady. She took the news better than I did. She said "Mom God will take care of you". It made my heart so happy. I am a candidate for whipple procedure but not until after 4 months of chemo and 5 days radiation. Chemo hasn't been too bad, I go Monday for my 3rd round. Second round was little more rougher than first one. I joined just to get some inspiration and here others stories. I have a very good support system, my family, church family, work family and many friends.

Child-like faith is such a blessing to be around! My boy was 12 years old when I told him my news and he too, took it rather well and said I'll pray for you all the time! I can tell you, the first thing I did was asked God to take this journey with me! I had remembered how so many years ago Jesus washed my sins away and how my life had changed! So I knew he certainly could wash this cancer way once and for all.  , But I also knew I had to do my part. so   I had the Whipple, and I did  a  year of chemo , and Iknow I'm oñly here today, by the grace of God !

Our God, can do what man cannot!

Blessings as you continue on this journey!

I can pray for you and let's expect the best is yet to come

I too ask God to wash away my sins. I know God has been with me from the beginning. Things moved very quickly for me and I am having the whipple procedure after radiation at Johns Hopkins. God is so good to me better than I deserve but He said He would never leave us nor forsake us. Thank you for sharing your story and please pray for me. My name is Pam. Thank you.

I certainly will pray for you! Many of my cancer clients have been brought through to victory simply by asking God to take this journey with them! Nothing is impossible for God! He's awsum  ! Don't focus on the problem, focus on God, because He's in charge and He will work things out.

Praying for the best outcome

I am so sorry about your dx.   I was diagnosed stage 2 in March of 2018.   I had 3 mos chemo, followed by distal pancretectomy and splenectomy and 3 more mos of chemo.   I was NED (no evidence of disease) for a wonderful 8 mos but due to new tumors near my liver (not on)  I am now "metastatic" and back on chemo since Nov 19.  (FOLFIRNOX/FOLFRI)  The good news is my CA19 has been steadily goind down and i am now on maintanance.   I pray A LOT and have many wonderful people praying for me as well.   I am 55 and have younger kids too (17 and 13)  so i want to stick around as long as possible!!!   I understand what you are feeling and my thoughts and prayers are with you!
