  My husband was diagnosed with Head and Neck Squamous Cell cancer in July of 2017. He had a tonsil removed along with 51 lymph nodes; 28 positive. He then had 6 weeks of chemo/radiation. In October 2018 he was rediagnosed with bone metastasis. Just wondering if anyone else has this? It would really help to hear some positivity from someone who has been through this. Thank you.

  Thanks OI, I will run that by him and tell him to ask his doctor on Friday! I am also wondering if he has silent reflux and acid could be aggravating the base of his tongue. He's doing so well otherwise...and just wishes eating were a little bit easier.

  Thanks so much OI. He went to his ENT last week and was told it is "nerve damage"...and that it's just going to take more time...and was prescribed more magic mouthwash. He has an appt with his Radiologist on Friday...so at least his doctors will be on the same page. I appreciate your help and advice. :)

  Hi, my husband was diagnosed with Stage IVa tonsil cancer in July. He had 28 lymph nodes removed in August, TORS three days later, and 5 chemo/25 radiation treatments in Oct/Nov, ending on Nov 28th. He is doing great and off all meds and having the PEG tube removed tomorrow. There is only one problem; the back of his tongue and his throat still hurt - a lot. He is forcing himself to eat through the pain and taking Ty...

  Thanks so much for sharing your experience. I am sitting in a room at UPenn Hospital with my husband who had neck surgery on Tues and TORS 2 days ago. Your story helps because it's a lot like his, and you have a positive attitude which makes all the difference!! All is well here so far and I thank God for Dr Weinstein, TORS and UPenn hospital on an hourly basis. I suggest anyone reading this follows our path. ??
