my husband finished his treatment 2 weeks ago. He had/has stage 4 squamous cell carcinoma with lymph node involvement no known primary. Did 35 radiation treatments and 6 chemo.  He is very depressed and finds this site so depressing. I continue to look for one good report. He hates to think that he will always have problems swallowing. Does it ever get better? Will he ever be able to have a normal diet again? He...

My husband has/had stage 4 sqamous cell carcinoma with unknown primary and it spread to lymph nodes in neck, clavical and neck tissue. And although you may feel as many others that treatment is worth it, that is your opinion. My husband feels as if we were misquided through all of this. AND we would not do it again. We are Born again Christians and believe in God with all of our souls, hearts and strength, we have pr...

My husband has also suffered from some hearing loss, and we were not warned about it either. The ringing in his ears sometimes almost drives him crazy. At one point he hiccuped 7 stratight hours. He always got his chemo on Friday, when ...

First off let me say how sorry I am for your husbands cancer. This treatment is horrible.  My husband John just finished all of his treatments on Aug 14th. There is nothing anyone can tell you that will prepare you for the journey you are about to take..so hold on. Now a few suggestions so you can have on hand the things you will need to help your husband. Get alcohol wipes ( I use tons of these), biotene, robit...

My husband has also said that there is no way he would do the treatments again and after what we have been through and still going through I stand behind that decision 100%.

My husband just finished his 33 radiation treatments on 8-11-15 and 6 chemo on 8-14-15. We do not know where his cancer started but it spread to his lymph nodes and neck tissue. This treatment has been pure hell for both of us. His peg tube was placed before treatment ever started. No one warned us of the long term side effects from all of this - if they had we would not have chosen to proceed with treatment.  T...
